Bob Basmadjian, Founder: Bob has over 15 years of media experience. From 1989 to 1992, he served as Associate Publisher of Automatic ID News. In 1993, he helped launch Data Capture Reseller and Retail Systems Reseller as Sales Manager for Edgell Communications.
Bob also has an extensive advertising and public relations background, servicing clients in the information technology, financial, and hospitality industries. As founder of Spectrum Marketing & Communications, he has focused his efforts primarily on supporting the marketing and communications needs of information technology providers and trade media organizations.
Bob has lectured at CMP Publication’s Channel Advocate Workshop on Effective Co-Op/MDF Strategies and has been a guest columnist for ID Systems’ Industry Scan newsletter. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Masters in Communication Arts from William Patterson College. |

Kevin Rushalko, Spectrum Associate: Kevin has over 30 years experience in the computer and vertical trade publishing fields and since 1997 has been associated with Spectrum Marketing & Communications as a financial advisor and key account manager. Previously, he served as Vice President and Publisher of the ID Systems magazine division of Helmers Publishing, Inc. from December 1990 to December 1996.
During his tenure at ID Systems magazine, Kevin successfully introduced the publication’s European edition. He was also responsible for developing the magazine’s World Wide Web site and expanding its domestic circulation into key vertical market categories, including the PC VAR channel. These initiatives were designed to help pave the way for industry marketers to expand their penetration into non-traditional market segments.
Kevin has also held senior advertising sales and management positions at both Mindcraft Publishing, Inc. and Wayne Green, Inc., in addition to serving as founder of KBR Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut. |

Brian Albright, Spectrum Associate: Brian has been covering the information technology industry since 1997. As an editor with Automatic ID News and Frontline Solutions magazines, Brian wrote about supply chain management issues, as well as bar coding, RFID, mobile computing, wireless communications and other technologies.
In his position as lead editor for the Frontline Solutions Web site, he provided daily coverage of the supply chain technology market, and managed the production of weekly electronic newsletters in the automotive, healthcare and RFID industries. He also assisted with conference development for the annual Frontline Solutions Expo, where he occasionally served as a speaker and session moderator.
In 2005, Brian established Albright Communications, which provides editorial, research, marketing and conference development services. He currently lives in Columbus, Ohio. |

John Burnell, Spectrum Associate: John has been writing in the information technology industry since 1990. He is the former editor-in-chief of Frontline Solutions and Automatic ID News magazines and was the inaugural editor of Automatic ID News Europe. John was also a key contributor and speaker at Frontline Solutions Expo, SCANTECH and ID Expo events in the U.S. and Europe.
John has published hundreds of articles on mobile computing, wireless networking and security, RFID, bar code, biometrics, card technologies, supply chain automation and related topics in numerous industry magazines. He has also overseen user research, market analysis, Web site and newsletter development and marketing communications projects for corporate and publication clients in the industry.
In 2002, John founded Burnell Reports, which provides strategic communications and project management services. He previously worked as a sportswriter and holds a BSJ from Ohio University. John lives in Cleveland with his wife and two children. |

Bert Moore, Spectrum Associate: Bert is a 25 year veteran of the Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) industry with over 700 by-lined articles, columns and professional presentations to his credit.
In addition to columns, articles and white papers on a wide range of AIDC technologies and applications for clients, Bert currently writes/edits AIM Global’s “RFID Connections” and "AIM Connections" e-newsletters and is a contributor to a variety of other publications. He also produces the podcast/interviews in "RFID Connections" including interviewing, recording, audio editing and transcription.
Previously, Bert was managing editor of ScanJournal, Parcel Shipping & Distribution and wrote/edited a number of supply chain and industry newsletters. He wrote the Data Collection column for P&IM Review and subsequently for Material Handling Management (formerly Material Handling Engineering). Bert also wrote a series of in-depth articles for ID Systems and Frontline Solutions (formerly Automatic ID News). He has presented in-house educational sessions for clients and organized and moderated the seminar sessions for the Parcel Shipping & Distribution show, was involved with ScanTech, and has served as speaker, session organizer and/or moderator for a variety of seminar sessions.
Bert also writes/designs/produces print ads and other graphic advertising/display material for selected clients.
Bert currently serves as Recording Secretary for AIM Global's Technical Symbology Committee (TSC) and RFID Experts Group (REG). He is a member of the ANSI Data Identifier maintenance committee, the AIM Global RFID Emblem maintenance committee, AIM Global RFID Experts Group (REG), and chaired the CompTIA RFID+ Certification cornerstone committee.
Bert was a 1992 recipient of the AIM USA Industry Service Award and was selected as a charter member of the "AIDC 100" (a peer association of individuals who have made significant contributions to education and advancement of the Automatic Identification and Data Collection industry). |

Beth Bacheldor, Spectrum Associate: Beth has nearly 20 years' experience as a writer and editor, with more than half of that in the high-tech industry. Through the years, she's interviewed CEOs and followed the business strategies of major technology companies, talked with hundreds of CIOs and IT executives, and researched and written about numerous hardware and software systems.
Beth is currently a freelance writer and editor who focuses on the high-tech industry. She helps companies position themselves as thought leaders and technical experts with content such as company white papers, case studies, and technical briefs. She is a regular contributor to online and print publications, including RFID Journal where for the past three years she’s covered the impact of the technology across industries. She also helps companies explore ways they can leverage new media – blogs, social networking, and micro-blogging sites.
Beth’s career in high-tech journalism started at a small publishing company where she learned the basics of computing, managed two newsletters, and authored a 130-page book, 1990 Survey of Ten Top U.S. Vendor OSI Strategies, that detailed and analyzed the business strategies of vendors building IT systems based on open, international standards.
Her career continued at CMP Media, where she started at CommunicationsWeek covering telecommunications and networking. Beth then moved to InformationWeek, where she spent nine years covering nearly every type of business technology, including information security, systems management, business intelligence, data warehousing, and enterprise applications such as enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and supply chain management. During her career at InformationWeek, she authored dozens of cover stories, and in 1999, was the recipient of an Award of Excellence for Best Technology Feature, as part of CMP Media's annual Excellence in Editorial Awards.

Bill Heitzman, Spectrum Associate: Bill has over 25 years of publishing and graphic arts experience. As sole proprietor and art director of Heitzman Design Inc. since 1994, Bill has conceived and developed a wide variety of product and corporate identity campaigns. He has held senior design and creative management positions, formerly serving as Art Director for the New York Law Publishing Company.
A graduate of Maryland Institute-College of Art, Mr. Heitzman holds a BFA in Graphic Arts. His clients have included American Lawyer Media, IncisionMedia, Intel/Dialogic, Sea-Land, Thompson Publishing and Union Camp.
